Washington's Crossing
In Fall 2023, I served as the lead programmer and project manager for Washington’s Crossing, a side-scrolling action game developed as part of my Design Perspectives in Interactive Multimedia course at TCNJ.
Washington's Crossing was created in Godot 4 using GDScript for our client RevolutionNJ, an organization dedicated to preserving American Revolution history. I directly communicated with the client to translate their goals into an engaging interactive experience that let players step into the role of an American soldier during the Revolution. My team of six included two artists, a programmer, a musician, and a sound designer, and together we produced a retro arcade–style side-scroller inspired by classic 1990s action games.
As the project manager and lead programmer, I maintained clear communication with the client and my team to keep the project on track while fostering a collaborative environment. I organized our workflow using Bootcamp, assigned responsibilities, established programming conventions, and integrated assets from artists and sound designers into the game to ensure cohesion across visuals, audio, and gameplay.
